“Thanks so much to the entire team that helped with replacing my water heater. Found standing water in the basement on Monday morning and Mitch was able to be there in the afternoon to diagnose the issue and stop future leaking by draining the tank. Above and beyond to find a way to get the tank draining for me. The next day John G. & Lavian M. were able to replace the hot water heater. The first one had a dent and they called to find a comparable replacement and get it in that same afternoon. So happy to have a dry basement and hot water again. Everyone was very professional and had excellent customer service.”

“Today Mitch was out to clean my furnace which is new as it was installed in Aug 2021. Mitch got right to work and explained everything he would be doing and reviewing. I have worked with a number of HVAC companies Mitch was very comprehensive and made the appointment stress free. FYI I had Harriman out last year when the company that installed the furnace could not help me set the heat correctly. John came out and found my thermostat was never set to high efficiency by the other company after they installed it. The furnace worked well last winter after the setting was changed. I am sorry I did not have Harriman install my new Trane equipment but Happy I have found this company now.”

He was very friendly and handed me his card outside the front door to verify that he was from Harriman.

He thoroughly checked my furnace and changed my filter and then took a look at my other filter (that minimizes dust in my home) and advised me when to change that. He then showed me and helped to clean some of the pipes that were picking up bacteria and showed me what to do to in order to help keep it clean. He also explained some other maintenance features and in my opinion gave me a great refresher course in my furnace since it was installed about a year ago. I then stepped away and let him do his other standard maintenance work on the furnace. As I don’t know all the specifics – he seemed to do a great job.

He then recommended me getting a new water heater (admittedly, mine is pretty old) and told me what to look for as it ages to make an informed decision about when to pull the plug on getting a new one and recommended the maintenance program to show me how to get discounts and speedy service if needed. Seriously – He was excellent. Ever since I signed up with Harriman, I’ve been nothing but pleased. Kudos to you and your team and making such great hires! I am certainly a pleased customer! :-)”

“The original technician who performed my routine maintenance had diagnosed a need for repair. My heat was going to be out for the night. After a call Harriman scheduled Mitch to come out the same day. Mitch was courteous and inquisitive. He heard a sound and upon investigation discovered that there was a just a bit of debris and there was no problem with the furnace! But Mitch did not stop there, he was curious about whether a nearby radon fan could be impacting airflow. Upon further investigation it was revealed that the air flow for my high efficiency furnace was being blocked outside. The other technician missed all of this. Thanks to Mitch I won’t have to spend my Christmas money on an unneeded furnace repair. Merry Christmas “

“Called around when my furnace unexpectedly went out and I was unable to fix myself. Couldn’t get any other companies to come out until a week later, Harriman was able to get me in the same day. Mitch came by and diagnosed the problem and provided me with great information to make a good decision. He came back the next day and replaced the speed controller on my ECM furnace and it solved the issue! Extremely happy with his professionalism and kindness, and grateful to have heat returned to my home. He also noticed a small leak near my water heater and inspected that for me as well to make sure that everything was okay. Will definitely use Harriman again.”

“I just purchased my condo and the a/c unit is in the storage room outside of the condo. My ac was not cooling my condo and Mitch came to do a service call. When he arrived he was extremely professional and courteous. The first thing he noticed is that the unit had a switch in the storage room that was in the off position and that was what the problem was. Once it was running he noticed and bought me outside to show me the condenser was turing itself off after a few minutes. He tested some other things and then noticed a sign on the unit door panel that the door must be on for correct meter readings and condencer operation. So he put the door back on and the problem was solved. He could have talked me into purchasing a number of things but was honest and fair. It only cost me the service fee. I would use and definitely recommend Harrimans and Mitch again. Thank you again Mitch!!”
